TxGLO – Community Engagement Services
Project Case Study:
In support of the Texas General Land Office’s (GLO) legislative authorization to restore, enhance, and protect the state’s coastal natural resources, the Texas Coastal Resiliency Master Plan provides a framework for community, socio-economic, ecologic and infrastructure protection from coastal hazards, including short-term direct impacts (e.g., flooding, storm surge) and long-term gradual impacts (e.g., erosion, habitat loss).
Since the plan’s inception in 2016, Hollaway has provided stakeholder engagement and education efforts and graphic design/document preparation services.
To support the development of regular updates of the Texas Coastal Resiliency Master Plan, Hollaway leads all stakeholder engagement efforts, including the planning and execution of regular Technical Advisory Committee and government official meetings in the four study-defined regions along the Texas coast (approximately 25 meetings held to date). This includes designing and developing stakeholder and government outreach materials; and providing graphic design, document creation, and quality assurance review for the Texas Coastal Resiliency Master Plan documents and accompanying technical reports.
Hollaway designed and published the 2017, 2019, and 2023 versions of the State of Texas’ Coastal Resiliency Master Plan, which provides a framework for community, socio-economic, ecologic, and infrastructure protection from coastal hazards including erosion and storm surge.
